Lawmakers loyal to Venezuela`s President Nicolas Maduro staged a walkout.

Lawmakers loyal to Venezuela`s President Nicolas Maduro staged a walkout Tuesday from the swearing-in session of the new opposition-dominated legislature, disrupting their rivals` efforts to launch reforms amid high tension.

The lawmakers abandoned the chamber of the National Assembly during tense debating after being sworn in. They alleged that the new opposition speaker of the assembly, Henry Ramos Allup, broke the rules governing congressional debate.
