Putin against curbs in Internet
Putin said he personally was against restrictions on any internet services.
Moscow: Russian Prime Minister Vladimir
Putin on Wednesday said that in spite of the concerns voiced by the
country`s security agencies the government was not planning to
curb the Internet.
Responding to a question in the State Duma (Lower
House of parliament) about Federal Security Service (FSB) was
seeking ban on Internet services like Skype, G-mail, Putin
said it was perfectly natural that Russian security services
were worried by Internet resources based abroad.
But, Putin said he personally was against restrictions
on any services and no curbs were planned in reality.
