Queen Elizabeth to visit Ground Zero and UN
Queen Elizabeth will address UN General Assembly after more than fifty years.
New York: Queen Elizabeth II will visit Ground Zero on Tuesday to pay tribute to the victims of the September 11, 2001 terror attack.
She will also address the UN General Assembly after more than fifty years.
The last time the Queen, 84, spoke at the General Assembly was when she was 31 in 1957, four years after she was crowned.
The visit to New York is scheduled at the end of a nine-day tour to Canada, of which she is also the Queen, to mark Canada Day.
The Queen`s grandson, Prince Harry, visited New York, last year.
