Washington: Mitt Romney’s campaign aide, Rick Gorka, who told reporters to "shove it" and "kiss my a**" in Poland earlier this week, was reportedly abstaining from the presumptive GOP nominee’s campaign appearances in Colorado, according to a report.
A Romney campaigner claimed that Gorka, who usually serves as Romney's travelling spokesman, is "taking some time off the trail" after the weeklong tour of England, Israel and Poland.
According to the New York Daily News, Gorka had capped off days of negative coverage during Romney’s international trip, after he exploded at American reporters for shouting questions at the presidential contender when walked to his car from Warsaw’s Pilsudski Square, the site of Poland’s Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
“Show some respect," Gorka had snapped at the reporters, but when a reporter complained that the press hadn't been allowed to ask Romney a question, Gorka lost it.
"Kiss my a**. This is a holy site for the Polish people. Show some respect,” after which he told another reporter to "shove it”.
Gorka reportedly later apologised for his outburst, the report said.
