Russia denies plans to move Lenin`s mausoleum

Moscow: Russia Wednesday said it has no plans to move the mausoleum containing the body of Vladimir Lenin, located at Red Square here. "There are no plans about the mausoleum as of today. I do not know that something is going to be changed, removed or relocated", the head of the Directorate of Presidential Affairs, Vladimir Kozhin said.

"The decision on the future of the monument will be in line with what people think is right or will be a political decision taken by the leadership of the country", Kozhin said. The issue of the removal of the body of the leader of the world`s first socialist revolution returned to some national media platforms, with voices both supporting and opposing the move. Russian President Vladimir Putin is one of the supporters of maintaining the historic monument as a part of national commitment to the memory and history of Russia.
