Cairo: Accused of inciting violence, Muslim Brotherhood’s leading figure Mohamed al-Beltagi was arrested on Thursday in Giza governorate.
Al-Beltagi holds the post of Secretary General of the Brotherhood`s Freedom and Justice Party (FJP).
On August 25, 2013 his son Ammar was arrested as part of a large-scale crackdown on the Islamist movement while his daughter was killed in police raid in pro-Morsi protest camp in Cairo.
He had earlier said that the militant attacks in Egypt will stop the day Mohammed Morsi will return to office.
