Six militants killed in Pak

 At least six militants who were involved in targeting security forces and blowing up gas installations were today killed during a search operation in Pakistan's troubled Baluchistan province.

Six militants were killed by security forces during a, search operation in Dur Jan and Rustam areas of Dera Bugti district, a spokesman for the Fronteir Corps said.

The militants were involved in targeting security forces and blowing up gas installations in the district, the official was quoted as saying by Dawn news.
Rocket launchers, improvised explosive devices, bombs and other weapons were recovered from the militants, who belonged to a defunct militant group operating in the area, the official said.

The incident has come a day after the killing of seven suspected militants by security forces in Pir Koh area of Dera Bugti.

Baluchistan has seen a rise in attacks on gas pipelines in the resources rich Dera Bugti district where the Sui Gas is located.
