Beijing: A Chinese man, whose unusual idea
of arranging a strip show at his son`s wedding reception had
the whole village flock to the performance, has been handed a
prison term of six months.
On the other hand, the stripper who unleashed the
"special performance," has been awarded five months of "forced
labour" by a court in the eastern Jiangsu province.
Zhang Cheng, a villager of Fengxian County, arranged a
strip dance engaging Li Wei to unleash a "special performance"
at the wedding reception of his son`s special day in October.
Word of the spectacle spread like a wildfire and more
than 200 villagers flocked to the reception in about five
minutes to watch the performance, Shanghai Daily reported.
Zhang, however, landed in police custody when the strip
show was reported to police who arrested him the very next
Zhang and Li were subsequently found guilty of organising
a pornographic performance.
Zhang was sentenced to six months in prison with a
one-year reprieve, while Li was sentenced to five months of
forced labour with an eight-month reprieve.
