Damascus: In the 16th month of uprising in Syria, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad said that his county is “in a state of war”.
Assad said this during discussion that took place in a meeting between Syrian President and new Cabinet members which were sworn in on Tuesday.
"We live in a real state of war from all angles. When we are in a war, all policies and all sides and all sectors need to be directed at winning this war," Assad said.
Assad further criticized countries that have been insisting that he step down in the wake of uprising and said that West "takes and never gives and this has been proven at every stage".
