Beirut: In what could escalate tensions between Damascus and Beirut, Syrian warplanes on Monday hit targets along Syria's border with Lebanon.
According to Lebanon's official news agency, National News Agency, Syrian jets struck targets in a remote area near the town of Arsal.
The shelling comes just days after Damascus warned Beirut to stop militants from crossing the border to fight with rebels.
