London: A sperm donor, who provides services to lesbian couples, single women, bisexual women and heterosexual couples through his website, says he has fathered 54 babies in just two years.
Declan Rooney, who has eight children of his own, said that his service is for free. The 43-year-old said that he fathered 17 boys and 14 girls since he set up his donor website last year. He claims another 15 women are pregnant by him.
“Egg donors get treated like saints, sperm donors get treated like back alley, smutty boys – but I’m not doing a bad thing. I’m not ashamed. I have helped women create families” MailOnline quoted him as saying. He said that he charges only for his travel expenses.
Rooney advertises on Facebook and through a mobile phone app.
“I’ve been inundated from the start. There were women who had been trying to have a baby for three or four years so it was very busy to begin with,” the report quoted him as saying.
The former web designer also claims to carry out proper health check of all his clients to ensure the child is born fit.
