Three killed, five missing in flash flood in China

At least three persons were killed and five others left missing in a flash flood that struck southwest China`s Yunnan province today, local officials said.

Beijing: At least three persons were killed and five others left missing in a flash flood that struck southwest China`s Yunnan province today, local officials said.

A flash flood hit Xiping Village in Baoshan City in the early hours today, injuring one villager.

While rescuers have retrieved three bodies, five others still remain missing, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.

Most of Yunnan has entered the annual flood season.
