Tourist bus falls into ravine in China, 11 killed

Beijing: At least 11 people were killed
on Thursday when a bus carrying foreign tourists fell into a ravine
in China`s Xijiang province.

The tourist bus, with 17 people aboard, plunged into a
ravine this afternoon on its way from Buerjin county to the
Kanas Lake scenic spot in Altay in the province, Xinhua news
agency reported.

So far, 11 deaths were confirmed by police. Fifteen
tourists were aboard the bus, but their identities have not
been revealed.

About 100 rescuers were rushed to the scene to help
the victims.
