Turkey `recalls ambassador` over German genocide resolution

Turkey has recalled its ambassador to Berlin after the German parliament passed a contentious resolution describing the 1915 killings of Armenians as genocide, the state-run Anatolia news agency reported, quoting the Turkish prime minister.

Ankara: Turkey has recalled its ambassador to Berlin after the German parliament passed a contentious resolution describing the 1915 killings of Armenians as genocide, the state-run Anatolia news agency reported, quoting the Turkish prime minister.

"We have recalled our ambassador to Germany (Huseyin Avni Karslioglu) for consultations," Prime Minister Binali Yildirim was quoted as saying by Anatolia.
