Two dead in landslide-hit building in Switzerland: Police

The bodies of two women have been pulled from the rubble of a small apartment building after it was hit by a landslide in Switzerland`s rain-drenched southern Ticino region, police said Sunday.

Regional police said two women, aged 34 and 38, had been found dead, while four others, including a 44-year-old Italian man, had been injured after a landslide slammed into a three-story residential building in Davesco-Soragno, near Lugano, just before 2:30 am (0130 GMT).

Police said they were searching the area to make sure no one else was under the rubble.
