Baghdad: Iraqi officials say three explosions
in the capital killed two people as Vice President Joe Biden meets with Iraqi leaders to discuss the US troop exit.

Iraqi police officials said three mosques _ two Sunni and
one Shiite _ were targeted by the roadside blasts this
morning. Eleven people were also wounded.

The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because
they were not authorised to speak to the media.
Violence in Iraq has dropped to all-time lows but
bombings like today`s show the lingering security challenges
the country will face when American troops go home at the end
of this year.
Iraqi officials said Biden`s visit would center on
whether to keep any American troops in the country past the
Dec 31 departure date.
