London: The UK Cabinet is almost worth 70 million pounds, according to a new analysis that estimates the combined wealth of the members.
According to it, Prime Minister David Cameron is worth almost 4 million pounds, The Telegraph reports.
Two thirds of the Cabinet, 18 out of 29 ministers, are millionaires, the new Cabinet "rich list" revealed.
Wealth-X, a consultancy specializing in analyzing the financial affairs of US politicians, based its figures on salaries as well as declared shares and properties of ministers.
Experts at Wealth-X valued Cameron`s house in North Kensington at 2.7 million pounds, and his Oxfordshire home at 960,000 pounds.
In a brief biography, the analysts described Cameron as a ``Berkshire native, born into a wealthy family with distant ancestral links to the British monarchy``.
The richest Cabinet minister is Lord Strathclyde, who is worth 9.5 million pounds, mainly from inherited wealth and a stake in his family`s estate management company.
Philip Hammond, the Defence Secretary, held property worth 8.2 million pounds, from stakes in a health care and nursing home developer and ``consultancy work``.
Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg had a fortune worth 2 million pounds, the report revealed.
