London: A far-right British political party has voted to scrap its whites-only membership rules after a court forced it to comply with race relations laws.
Members of the British National Party voted during an extraordinary general meeting on Sunday to change the party`s constitution so that black and Asian people could join.

The Central London County Court has warned that it must change its discriminatory membership policy or face a possible court injunction.

The BNP opposes Britain`s immigration policy and claims to fight for "indigenous" Britons. Leader Nick Griffin is notorious in Britain for denying the Holocaust in the past.

Griffin said on Sunday anyone can join the party if they agree that the UK should "remain fundamentally British".
