UK: Prince Philip improving

Prince Philip, 90, has been in hospital for two nights for treatment of bladder infection.



London: The condition of Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, has "improved considerably" but he is likely to stay in hospital for the next few days, Buckingham Palace on Wednesday said.

Prince Philip, 90, has been in hospital for two nights for treatment of bladder infection.

A Palace spokesman said the duke was in "good spirits".
The spokesman said: "Prince Philip`s condition has improved considerably since coming in to hospital on Monday. His infection continues to be treated with antibiotics".

"He is likely to remain in hospital over the next few days. He is in good spirits".
Prince Philip turns 91 on Sunday.
