Brasilia (Brazil): A Brazilian news organisation says new round of documents leaked by former National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden show that the US spied on Brazil`s state oil company.
The report on the website of Globo television did not give details of the allegation. But the station indicated it would add information during a Sunday night programme featuring US journalist Glenn Greenwald, who has been reporting on the Snowden documents.
He said last week that the documents showed that US spy agencies had monitored the president of Brazil, as well as Mexico`s new president prior to his election.
Offices of the Petrobras oil company were closed today and officials could not be reached for comment.
