Washington: US Vice President Joe Biden
would travel to the Middle East, during the week starting
March 8, in a trip where Iran is expected to top his agenda,
the White House announced today.
"The Vice President will meet with key leaders in
Israel, the Palestinian Authority, Egypt, and Jordan," the
White House said in a statement.
"During the trip, the Vice President will discuss the
full range of bilateral and regional issues," it said.
Biden would meet Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin
Netanyahu, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas,
Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Salam Fayyad, Egyptian
President Mohamed Hosni Mubarak, and Jordanian King Abdullah
during his visit.
