Vatican porn site address may host adult entertainment

London: The Vatican porn site address “vatican.xxx”, which was recently bought by an unknown buyer, may host adult entertainment.

The “.xxx” domains, which are reserved for websites for hosting adult contents, went on sale for the first time earlier this month.

Vatican spokesman Father Federico Lombardi said that someone outside Vatican had acquired the domain.

“This domain is not available because it has been acquired by someone else, but not the Vatican,” the Sun quoted Lombardi as saying.
Lombardi also denied Italian media reports that the Vatican had, like many other organisations including companies, universities and museums, registered the xxx domain to prevent its misuse.
