Kiev: An amateur video of the deadly explosion outside Ukrainian Parliament, which claimed two lives and injured several others, has captured the moment the explosive device was hurled.

Elements in the crowd, many of whom carried banners from the nationalist Svoboda (Freedom) party, pelted black-helmeted national guardsmen with fire-crackers and smoke-bombs after the vote. Then, police said, grenades were thrown, the Reuters reported.

The amateur video filmed by a journalist who was at the parliament building and watching events unfolding on the ground captured the moment an explosive device was hurled from the crowd toward police, the report stated.

A loud explosion is heard as plumes of smoke billow from the square and police are seen running to help those hurt. Some are seen limping away while police assist other wounded colleagues.

A wounded man lying on the ground is dragged away by police in protective gear.

Meanwhile, the death toll after clashes outside Ukrainian Parliament in central Kiev increased on Tuesday with a policemen succumbing to his injuries.
