South Carolina: Amid incidents of growing intolerance towards the black community in the United States, a fresh video showing a school resource officer violently subduing a young black female student in her classroom at Spring Valley High School in the state capital of Columbia has now come to fore.
The video reportedly shows the officer throwing the student's chair over with the student still on it, flinging her to the floor in front of her classmates and then dragging her out of the room.

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott was quoted as saying, “the student had refused to leave the classroom of her own free will and was told she was under arrest for disturbing school and given instructions which she again refused.”
The school officials, who confirmed the veracity of the video, said the incident was "under investigation."
