Paris: In the aftermath of the deadly Paris attacks, Europe has witnessed a spurt of hate crimes against Muslims, however this man in the French capital has taken it on himself to correct the perception against his community and offering free hugs to people on streets in a bid to create goodwill.
At least 130 people were killed and scores of others injured in a series of explosions and gun firing launched by ISIS in Paris.
Following the attack, Europe tightened its security, even as the world leaders vowed to hunt down ISIS leadership. A section of the public have blamed the Muslims for the rise of Islamic terrorism.
However this Muslim man in Paris is not ready to give up yet and has resolved to do everything that he can to change that perception.
He stood near the site of mourning for the victims of the Paris attacks holding placards - one of the placards read, “I’m a Musulman (Muslim man) and I’m called a terrorist”, the other said, “I trust you, do you trust me? If yes, hug me.”
