Italy: The Italian coach was over the moon with the capture of the prolific hitman and has stressed that he will become a key figure at the Ligue 2 champions.
Claudio Ranieri has voiced his delight with the signing of Radamel Falcao and has stressed that Monaco will be building their team around the Colombia international.
The Ligue 2 champions announced on Friday that they have secured the services of the striker for a fee believed to be in the region of €60 million after previously signing Joao Moutinho, James Rodriguez and Ricardo Carvalho.
"I am very happy with the arrival of Falcao. We aim to build a strong team around him," the former Inter boss was quoted as saying by France Football.
"Falcao is a great player. He always works hard for the team, but is also very strong in front of the goal. He is quite impressive."
The 27-year-old has played a key figure in Atletico`s successful season as he has guided the Vicente Calderon side to Copa del Rey glory and third place in the Liga table with his 31 goals in 41 appearances in all competitions.
