Sanaa: An explosion struck a bus near Yemen Air Force bus, killing at least 12 people on Sunday, reports said.
According to a BBC report, the explosion targeted a bus near Air Force base that was carrying military personnel. The blast took place at the road that was leading to Sanaa international airport.

Recently, the US had issued a global terror alert for Mideast, especially Yemen, following which many countries had closed their embassies in Yemen in the start of August.

Yemen has particularly been under spotlight for the increasing terror of al Qaeda (AQAP) militants.
AQAP, formed in January 2009 in a merger of the Yemeni and Saudi branches of al Qaeda, is viewed by Washington as the most active branch of the worldwide jihadist network.
