`Biting` again could cost Luis Suarez 3m pounds from Barcelona pay

Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez, in controversies over biting Italian defender, will lose 3 million pounds of his 10 million pounds-a-year salary if he tries to bite another opponent.

London: Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez, in controversies over biting Italian defender, will lose 3 million pounds of his 10 million pounds-a-year salary if he tries to bite another opponent.
Suarez`s contract at Barcelona is set with clauses which will hit him hard if he tries to bite again and he could be docked as much as 15 to 30 per cent of his wages, the BBC reported. The Uruguayan became the most expensive signing in the Catalan giants` history when he completed his move from Liverpool on Friday, agreeing a 200,000 pounds-a-week, five-year deal at the Nou Camp, report said. Suarez`s salary makes him the fourth highest-paid player at the club behind Lionel Messi, Neymar and Andres Iniesta, but he will drop a long way behind if there is any repeat of the shameful biting antics that have landed him in hot water three times. The club intends to pursue an appeal to have Suarez`s four-month ban from all football-related activities reduced and are hopeful they will succeed, the report added.
