New Delhi: Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi has extended his `best wishes and prayers` to Nelson Mandela, as the former South African president will spend his 95th birthday on Thursday in a hospital. `Best wishes to Nelson Mandela on his birthday. He inspires millions with the message of equality. We pray for his good health," Modi tweeted this morning ahead of a crucial BJP Parliamentary Board Meeting here. Mandela turns 95 on July 18, which is also the Nelson Mandela International Day. Mandela served as president from 1994 to 1999, and he has been hospitalised since June 08 for a recurring lung infection, his longest hospital stay in years.
