Patna: Even as the stage is all set for Gujarat Chief Minister`s Hunkar rally in the capital of Bihar on October 27, the state government has said that it is unable to provide a bullet-resistant SUV to Narendra Modi, as per reports. The request was made by the Gujarat government to its Bihar counterpart, as reported by a news site. After the Bihar government expressed its inability to provide the SUV, Gujarat has now reportedly decided to move its bullet-resistant SUV from New Delhi. The Bihar government has supposedly offered a bullet-resistant ambassador car for Modi`s visit, which was declined by Gujarat police officials, who said that the Gujarat CM preferred SUV. The request was said to be made verbally. Bihar is said to have only two bullet-resistant SUVs, both of which are part of the CM`s cavalcade and it has 25 such ambassador cars. And Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is on two-day tour to Rajgir on October 28 and 29, where the JD(U) will be holding a brainstorming session. However, Bihar is providing jammers for negating remote control explosive device and bullet-resistant lectern for Modi`s visit to the state. BJP`s prime ministerial candidate for 2014 General Elections is due to address a massive rally in Patna`s Gandhi Maidan this Sunday. This is Modi`s first rally in Bihar after the BJP and JD(U) split in June this year after seventeen years of being together. The alliance broke on the issue of growing clout of Modi in the rank and file of BJP. The BJP and JD(U) has fought the 2010 Assembly elections in Bihar together and had managed to demolish the Congress and the RJD. Nitish Kumar had made it clear to BJP leadership that his party was not ready to accept Modi as the NDA`s PM candidate. Modi will be in Patna for less than three-hours and preparations are in full swing to make the event a mega success. BJP have said that that Modi`s rally on Nitish`s home turf will change the political landscape of Bihar.
