On CRPF day (April 9, 2017), Home Minister Rajnath Singh launched the web portal titled Bharat Ke Veer at the Vigyan Bhawan where Akshay Kumar was also present. Anyone can donate up to Rs 15 lakh to family of a martyred jawan or officer of CAPFs.
Akshay Kumar, who recently donated Rs 1.09 crore to 11 families of CRPF martyrs killed in a Naxal ambush in Sukma, was quoted as saying at the event by TOI, "today, I am here with you not as an actor, but as a son of an Army officer".
This certainly is a noble cause towards helping the families of martyrs.
