New Delhi: The undisputed queen of Bollywood, Deepika Padukone, who is currently in the happiest space of her life after tying the knot with long-time beau Ranveer Singh, has topped a list of '50 Sexiest Asian Women' released on Wednesday.
According to the poll, while Deepika has bagged the top spot on the list, Priyanka Chopra has found the second position. Last year, Priyanka was crowned the sexiest Asian woman. While she couldn’t retain the top spot this year, she holds only a rank behind the 'Padmaavat' actress.
Popular television actress Nia Sharma bagged the third spot.
Asjad Nazir, the newspaper's Entertainment Editor behind the annual list, shares his thought on Deepika and her top ranking. "Apart from being the undisputed queen of Bollywood and a strikingly beautiful star, what really makes Deepika Padukone special is how big her heart is and how grounded she has remained throughout her remarkable rise," he was quoted by PTI.
Meanwhile, Pakistani actress Mahira Khan came in fourth, television star Shivangi Joshi was on 5th, Alia Bhatt at 6th, Sonam Kapoor at 7th, Hina Khan at 8th, Katrina Kaif at 9th and Niti Taylor at 10th.
'Behaddh' actress Jennifer Winget was on 13th, Gauhar khan on 17th, 'Baahubali' actress Anushka Shetty on 22nd and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan on 30th. Bollywood's 'Dhak-Dhak' girl Madhuri Dixit was on 45th spot while 'Race 3' star Jacqueline bagged the 47th position.
