Indian Premier League 2018: Varun Dhawan gets paid more than Ranveer Singh for opening performance?

Mumbai: Indian Premier League 2018 season is just around the corner and we can't wait to see cricketers showcase their skills.

Bollywood stars will sizzle on stage during the opening ceremony - Ranveer Singh, Varun Dhawan, Parineeti Chopra and Jacqueline Fernandez will set the stage on fire with their glitzy performances and it is going to be a thrilling event for sure.

A few days back, there were reports suggesting that Ranveer Singh will be paid a whopping Rs 5 Crores for a 15-minute performance but he may not the highest paid performer of the evening.

If the latest buzz is anything to go by, then Varun Dhawan will be paid over Rs 6 crores for his act.

According to a DNA report, a source said, "The organisers decided to pay Varun more than everyone else for a simple reason — his connect and popularity with the junta. Adds the source, “Varun has a great connect with the masses and among all the actors from the younger generation, he has the maximum number of chartbusters in his kitty. He will be dancing to his recent hits from Badrinath Ki Dulhania and Judwaa 2, as well as other films. Jacqueline and he might also perform a few songs together."

Varun and Ranveer are contemporaries and are equally famous. Both have proved their acting prowess by delivering spell-binding performances in their films.

And as long as we get to see both of them on stage, we wouldn't complain.
