Mahira Khan clarifies; Javed Sheikh hilariously reacts to ‘kiss’ viral video

Mumbai: Mahira Khan recently bagged the Best Actor award for her role in Verna at the LUX Style Awards 2018 in Pakistan. But something unexpected happened on stage. When she went on stage to receive her award, veteran actor Javed Sheikh almost planted a kiss on her cheek and Mahira, who probably didn’t quite expect the gesture, shied away.

Though both Mahira and Javed didn’t quite find it embarrassing or awkward, trolls took it quite seriously. They tagged the incident as cringe worthy and slammed Javed Sheikh for “forcibly” kissing Mahira.

The video clip of the aforementioned episode went viral and trolls dragged things out of proportion.

Mahira, who was appalled by all the negative talks, took to Twitter to react to the controversy.

She tweeted:

“I have just woken up to such silly stuff floating around. It’s good to be aware and have an opinion but for Gods sake don’t use anything and everything to make news. Javed Sheikh of all people! He is a legend and a mentor to all of us in this industry. Would vouch for him always. (sic).”
