'Padmaavat' star Deepika Padukone penned this poem in 7th grade! Take a look

The actress has shared a copy of a poem written by her when she was just in the seventh grade and she has been receiving compliments from her fans.

New Delhi: Actress Deepika Padukone, who is basking in the glory of her recently released 'Padmaavat', is a bundle of talent and she recently showcased one of them on the photo-sharing platform. 

The actress shared a copy of a poem written by her when she was just in the seventh grade. The title of Deepika's poem was 'I Am' and the first few lines read, "I am a child with love and care; I wonder how far the stars reach; I hear the rush of the waves..." 

Deepika captioned the post with, "my attempt at poetry in the 7th grade!"

Soon after she shared the post, her account was filled with comments like -- "Surprised to see that you have still preserved it. So simple, yet so full of meaning and thought. I can see there is an element of pain hidden between those lines. You are a true fighter and survivor. You go girl! Zz."

Another comment read, "you were on the right track deepu. Why did u stop writing? Try again now. I am sure you will come out with flying colors."

It is not to be forgotten that Deepika, the daughter of noted Badminton player Prakash Padukone, did her early schooling from Bangalore's Sophia High School and later completed her pre-university education at Mount Carmel College.

On the work front, she is currently occupied with Vishal Bhardwaj's 'Rani', which is based on the life of mafia queen Sapna Didi. She will feature alongside Irrfan Khan in the film. 

This would be Deepika's second film with the 'Lunch Box' actor. They were previously seen in Shoojit Sircar's 'Piku'.
