New Delhi: Anurag Basu, whose last film 'Jagga Jasoos' tanked miserably at the Box Office, has gone ahead with his next film. Actor Abhishek Bachchan, who has been cast as one of the lead actors by Basu, began shooting for the film in Kolkata last week.

Several media reports claimed that the film is the sequel to 2007 released multi-starrer film 'Life In A Metro'. Reports also said that while Rajkummar Rao, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Aditya Roy Kapur were a part of the cast of the film, actress Parineeti Chopra walked out of the project due to certain reasons.

However, on Monday, the 'Ishaqzaade' actress reacted to the reports around her and asked everyone to not speculate anything as she herself will announce her next project. "Guys please dont speculate on anything!! I will announce which film I am doing next myself. It is extremely disrespectful and bad PR for the makers of that film. I have not opted out of anything," she posted on Twitter.

Basu too clarified tweeting that the Chopra girl was never a part of his film and hence there is no question of her quitting the project. He tweeted, "Opt out!!!?? Hehehe this is so funny When was she In!? @ParineetiChopra."

While not much is known about the film, Basu on Monday told news agency IANS that he never said that his film is a sequel to 'Life in a Metro'. He revealed that the film has four tracks and that is the only similarity with 'Life in a Metro'.

Expressing his happiness over working with actor Abhishek Bachchan, he said: "I am glad that he said 'yes' as after writing a few scenes, I could imagine Abhishek doing this film. Even he agreed after reading those few scenes." "I really like his work. He is a nice man. He should get his due as he is an amazing actor. I was looking for an opportunity to work with him and finally got it."

Basu, who has directed films like 'Murder', 'Gangster', 'Kites', 'Barfi' revealed that he will be in Kolkata again to shoot the portion with Rajkumar Rao, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Aditya Roy Kapoor.

On the other hand, Parineeti's latest release 'Namastey England' has failed to connect with the audience. In fact, its Box Office collections were dismal. Despite being released on a holiday, the film collected Rs 1.05 crore on the opening day.

Parineeti has wrapped up the shoot of her next 'Jabariya Jodi' in which she she paired opposite Sidharth Malhotra. She has also films like 'Kesari' and 'Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar'.
