New Delhi: Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's relationship is the hottest talk of the town. As per reports, the two fell in love while shooting for Ayan Mukerji's 'Brahmastra'. Almost every now and then there are reports of things getting serious between the two. Whether it is Alia receiving a bracelet as a gift from Ranbir's sister or his mother, Neetu Kapoor dropping adorable comments on Alia's pics, each time there is news about 'Raila', fans get excited. That's not all! Reports of their marriage in 2020 are also doing the rounds. 

Amidst all the rumours, Ranbir's father Rishi Kapoor has now lauded the actress for her performance in films.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, senior Kapoor was asked what he thinks about the young generation of actors.

Here's what Rishi Kapoor told the leading daily, “I admire someone like Alia Bhatt, who takes up challenging roles like in Highway (2014) and Raazi.”

The actor further added that at such a tender age as Alia is in, it is very difficult to carry a film on one's shoulders and that only an actor can do that. Senior Kapoor also said that Alia has been lucky enough to get such parts and she also has the talent for them.

Interestingly, Rishi and Alia have shared screen space in Kapoor and Sons, a film produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. In the film, Rishi played a 90-year-old grandpa while Alia played his grandson's ladylove.

A tweet by Rishi posted a month ago caught our attention. He expressed his gratitude over working with Bhatt family and the relatives. The 65-year-old wrote- “Have worked with most of the talented Bhatt family(and relatives). Mahesh Bhatt,Mukesh Bhatt,Robin Bhatt,Purnima ji, Soni Bhatt, Pooja Bhatt, Emran Hashmi, Alia Bhatt. Thank you all!”

Ranbir is gearing up for the release of Rajkumar Hirani's 'Sanju', a biopic on Sanjay Dutt produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. He also has Karan Johar's Shamshera in his kitty while Alia has Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy with Ranveer Singh and Kalank with Varun Dhawan in the pipeline.
