Mumbai: Shilpa Shetty, who is married to businessman Raj Kundra, has a five-year-old son named Viaan. The trio make a picture-perfect happy family. But is Shilpa planning another baby? Well, sister Shamita was thrilled to know that she was about to become maasi once again until she realised it was just a prank.

Here’s what reportedly happened. Anurag Basu, who is co-judging talent show Super Dancer 2 managed to get hold of Shilpa’s phone during shoot break.

The filmmaker is famous among his friends circle for being a prankster. And Shilpa, who had worked with him in Life In a Metro, is familiar with his prankster side. However, she fell pray when he sent a message to Shamita from Shilpa’s phone informing that she is pregnant.

Shamita, who was elated to get good news from her sister made a number of calls and sent congratulatory messages to Shilpa.

This put Shilpa in a fix. The actress had a tough time convincing her sister that she wasn’t pregnant and released that it was Basu who had played the prank.

“During the break when Anurag got the opportunity to take away Shilpa’s phone, he texted her sister Shamita Shetty from her phone that she is pregnant. Shilpa started getting a number of calls from her sister and congratulatory texts on the news! It took some time for her to convince Shamita that she is not in the family way again and then realised that Anurag was the culprit. She, however, laughed it off, as she is used to her Metro director’s pranks. Once he had removed the batteries from Shilpa’s mic without her knowledge and during the shoot, her voice couldn’t be heard. The shoot had to be stalled to get it fixed again!,” DNA quoted a source as saying.
