In an exclusive interview to Smita Mishra of Spicezee.com,: the Boys excitedly discuss their first visit to India, their future projects and desire to taste Indian food. Excerpts:Smita: Are you excited about performing in India? A.J. McLean: Yes! We can’t explain how excited we are to be finally coming to India and performing there. It’s going to be a grand show, this much we can promise you. Smita: Although you have produced your solo albums, yet you have managed to stay together for two decades. What is the secret? Howie Dorough: The secret is truly loving what you do. We love our life and entertaining our fans. It’s such a great feeling getting on stage and performing for everyone. We couldn’t imagine doing anything else. Smita: After two decades, you are still referred to as ‘boys’ how does it feel? A.J. McLean: We are BOYS for life…..we embrace that! And that is so much of a compliment! Smita: Are you looking forward to performing with the legendary Richard Marx? Howie Dorough: Yes we are very excited to be performing alongside Richard Marx. He’s one amazing singer and his hit songs are among our all-time favorite tunes. We are looking forward to his music in India. Smita: Do you listen to Bollywood music? Brian Littrell:Not really, but we are curious to check out the songs and dances and maybe even meet some musicians. Our exposure to Indian music so far is limited to probably, only songs from `Slumdog Millionaire`, which we thought were great. Smita: What all are you bringing to the Indian gig? Nick Carter & Brian Littrell: The show is about an hour and a half long with a good mixture of new songs and the oldies everyone wants to hear. Hopefully we’ll be hearing a lot of you guys singing along with us! The show will be a combination of songs from our newest and old albums, which will run for 2 hours. Some of the songs are `Show me the meaning`, `Backstreet`s Back`, `As long as you love me`, `Quit playing games` and many more fan favourites. Smita: What are your other plans during this tour? Howie Dorough: Listen to loads of Indian music, eat Indian food and very important- interact with our fans here about whom we have always heard from well-wishers. Smita: Any experience of Indian food? A.J. McLean:No favourites as such, but we plan to try out just about everything that’s Indian. That’s on our to-do list in India. Smita: Tell us something about your future ventures? Nick Carter: ‘Bigger’ is our next single and we hope India loves it. We hope to get back into the studio soon. We love the music making process.
