JMM leader shot dead in Jharkhand

Jamshedpur: A JMM leader was shot dead on Tuesday by suspected CPI-Maoist ultras at Bagda in Jharkhand's East Singhbhum district.

According to police, Doren Singh Munda, a member of JMM central committee, was sitting outside his residence when some motorcycle-borne gunmen shot at him from close range, killing Munda on the spot.

Another person, standing nearby, suffered bullet injury and was rushed to a nearby hospital.

Munda was an active member of the party had taken part in the statehood movement, senior JMM leader Dulal Bhuiyan said.
