New Delhi: According to statistics, there are about 80,000 children living on the streets of Delhi leading a miserable life with no money, no food and no education. Many of these children are alone; many turn to drugs, alcohol and prostitution to cope with their situations.
AIESEC, being the world’s largest and strongest youth run organisation, realises its responsibility in society and wishes to bring about a change.
We believe that by educating these children or providing a platform to express themselves is a very sustainable solution to the problem.
BalaKalakaar is that platform where art acts as a medium of expression for the underprivileged children.
The Agenda includes a painting competition; a session on health and hygeine and a small skit on the importance of Education. 3 children who win the competition will be provided with training by the National Institute of Fine Arts and will be awarded Hero cycles.
