Bihar Congress list stolen, leaked: Tytler

Bihar Congress list stolen, leaked: Tytler New Delhi: Under attack for the Bihar Congress list mentioning castes against the names of its office bearers, AICC in-charge Jagdish Tytler today sought to wriggle out of the raging controversy claiming the internal document was "stolen" and leaked to the media.

Tytler's claim comes close on the heels of an FIR filed in Patna against him and Bihar PCC chief Anil Sharma for allegedly violating the SC and ST Atrocities Prevention Act.

"You find out who brought the list. It is an internal document. So many things are mentioned in internal papers. But what is important is what comes out officially," Tytler told reporters here when asked about the leakage of the controversial list.

A visibly upset Tytler also attacked the media saying, "it is the media which has damaged me. Just because you have power don't misuse it. If you are serious why don't you find out who stole the list... who took that list away, which was our internal work".

Asked about the inclusion of Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar's name in the list of office bearers, Tytler shot back asking whether the official list given to the media mentions it (her name along with caste).

"... Official (list) does not have what you are saying," he replied.

The controversy has cropped up a few days before AICC General Secretary Rahul Gandhi's visit to the state for students and youth body elections. Assembly elections are also scheduled to be held in Bihar before October.
