Gadkari tells Bihar leaders to prepare party roadmap for polls
New Delhi: With an eye on the October
assembly polls in Bihar, BJP President Nitin Gadkari on Thursday
held a meeting with party office bearers of the state to chalk
out a strategy for better co-ordination with alliance partner
JD(U) and to prepare a roadmap for the party.
"Gadkari particularly emphasised on better co-ordination
between the government, the elected representatives, the
organisation and party workers so that achievements of the
party is properly conveyed to the people," BJP spokesperson
Ravi Shankar Prasad said after the meeting.
Gadkari asked leaders from Bihar to prepare a roadmap for
BJP in the state keeping the forthcoming elections in mind.
The new party president plans to meet the core group of
state units of BJP, and Bihar was given priority due to the
forthcoming assembly polls.
"Gadkari appreciated the performance of JD(U) and BJP
government in Bihar, which has given a big push to state's
development, GDP and containment of crime," Prasad said.
BJP vice-president Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, who is in-charge
of party's all-India campaign against price rise, and Bihar
Chief Minister Sushil Modi also attended the meeting.
"We discussed how to run the campaign on price rise in an
aggressive and effective manner," Naqvi said.
BJP will hold protest demonstrations and strikes in all
districts of Bihar on January 25, he added.
