CPI (M) alleges "TC-Maoist nexus", to raise it in Parliament

Kolkata: CPI (M) MP Brinda Karat on Saturday said her party would raise the issue of "nexus between Trinamool Congress and the Maoists" in West Bengal, in the forthcoming Parliament session.

"Maoists have been invited in the state. We will raise in Parliament the issue of TC-Maoist nexus", she told reporters on the sidelines of a programme here.

Chief Minister, Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee had yesterday said that TC and Maoists were working together against the CPI(M).

Meanwhile, the party's politburo member, Sitaram Yechury said here that despite Union Home minister P Chidambaram's offer of talks the Maoists did not respond.

"Chidambaran has been saying it for long that if the Maoists abjured violence the government is ready to talk, but the Maoists are not responding to this", he said.
