All bodies in Polish plane crash identified
Moscow: All 96 bodies recovered from the wreckage of the Polish presidential plane, which crashed near Smolensk in Russia on April 10, have been identified, an official has said.
The Soviet-made Tu-154 aircraft carrying a top-level Polish delegation, including President Lech Kaczynski and his wife, hit a few trees as it attempted to land at an airport in thick fog. There were 88 passengers and eight crewmembers in the plane.
"Health Minister Tatyana Golikova has once again expressed her condolences to the Polish people and announced that the genetic expertise was completed today and all the bodies were identified," an aide for the minister said on Wednesday.
