3 Taliban militants killed in Pak's Swat

Peshawar: Pakistan troops Friday killed three Taliban militants in the restive Swat district, where soldiers are conducting a combing operation to flush out rebels.

The militants were killed in Matta sub-division, a former bastion of the Taliban movement led by Maulana Fazlullah.

Their bodies were handed over to police, officials said.

Troops are currently conducting a combing operation in Swat after bringing the insurgency in the valley under control.
