Haryana to fill up vacancies for veterinary doctors
Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Sunday said 150 vacant posts of veterinary doctors and an equal number of assistant veterinary doctors would soon be filled up.
Hooda, who was addressing the 22nd state-level biannual sammelan of Diploma Veterinary Association at Sonipat, said that Lala Lajpat Rai Veterinary Sciences University was being set up at Hisar so as to improve the breed of cattle and
provide them better health care.
The budget of the Animal Husbandry Department has been increased to Rs 272 crore from Rs 55 crore in 2005, he said. Defining the role of a veterinarian, he said "they are
not our officials, but are partner in the development of the state. You should extend your whole hearted cooperation in making Haryana Denmark and I will protect your interest."
