Body of missing Japanese climber found in the Himalayas
Kathmandu: The body of a Japanese
climber, who was swept away by an avalanche along with two
other team members and a guide on the 8,163 metre high
Dhaulagiri peak in eastern Himalayas, has been recovered.
The dead climber has been identified as Daisuke Honda,
District Police Office Myagdi said today.
Honda and two other Japanese climbers along with their
Nepalese guide were on an expedition to Mt Dhaulagiri,
considered one of the most difficult and dangerous mountain
