4 students booked for culpable homicide

Ghaziabad: 4 college students have been booked for culpable homicide not amounting to murder, even as police failed to locate their friend, who is missing for 5 days since he went for a bath with them at the Upper Ganga Canal in Massoorie.

Akshay, 19, a first year BTech student in a Massoorie private college, has been missing since November 18, when he accompanied his friends to bathe in Upper Ganga Canal, police said.

There is fear of his drowning, but the body has yet not been recovered by the rescuers of the police and private divers employed by Akshay's father Trilok Chand Gaur.

Superintendent of Police (Rural) M M Beg said the divers are still on the lookout for the body and that he is hopeful of recovering it in 24 hours.
