Maoists escape from jail in Jharkhand

Chaibasa: Three hardcore Maoists escaped from a high-security jail in Jharkhand's West Singhbhum district early Monday.

The Maoists escaped by removing a rod from the window of their cell.

Superintendent of Police A K Singh said the Maoists escaped in connivance with the jail staff.

Adjoining police stations have been alerted and the district border sealed, he said.
